Somatic Psychotherapy
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Brainspotting and EMDR are outstanding treatments for trauma, abuse and PTSD, while Empathic Body Processing is my preferred approach for developmental wounding, anxiety, addiction, stress, relationships, and more. Somatic therapy integrates the body, emotions and the mind to regulate the nervous system and emotions, heal trauma, gain deeper insights that are integrated more quickly and lead to lasting change, and relieve the physical manifestations of psycho-emotional distress (such as chronic fatigue or chronic pain).
Empathic Body Processing™ is a body-mind technique which can accelerate healing and personal development. EBP allows people to bypass their thinking minds and gain insight and understanding through their feeling bodies. The process has been used to regulate emotions, decrease anxiety and depression, uncover and resolve unconscious blocks, heal physical issues, process trauma, and foster self-acceptance and love. Spiritually, EBP offers a path to reconcile "negative" emotions with spiritual teachings. True inner peace and the outer manifestation of our highest dreams can be hindered by spiritual bypass. EBP gives us a practice that allows us to be and feel authentically, so we may truly release what we don't want, and call in what we do. It is a mind-body technique that puts the saying "the only way out is through" into experiential practice.
